Does the job for the right price |
This is a very sturdy case that fits the Canon SD1000 perfectly, with an easy magnetic close. As others have mentioned, it does make it too bulky for a man to carry in his pants pocket, but I was really just looking for something that would make me comfortable with tossing it in my purse and letting it jostle around with everything else in there.
The wrist strap is a tight fit through the hole at the top, but threading it through makes it difficult to retrieve the camera and take photos, so I usually just let the strap stick out the side.
Overall I am very happy with this product, considering how little I paid - be aware that one of the product descriptions is incorrect, though. The leather is NOT soft and the case fits nothing beyond the camera itself. |

Pencil-box ugly |
For this price, I was expecting something similar to the nice, form-fitting leather cases I have for my ipods. If you thought this too, you would be wrong!
The case is nearly twice as thick as the SD1100IS which Americancivilwar suggested that I purchase together. Forget about putting this case in your pants pockets.
Don't know how much "leather" is actually present - I think it's embossed vinyl. This one is going back to Americancivilwar!

this is the wrong case for the canon sd 1100. it is way too big. i had to return it. dont know how amazon dropped the ball on this. |

Perfect fit for SD1100IS |
I wanted something that wouldn't add too much bulk to a tiny camera so I figured I need to go with Canon's case. The camera slips right in and stays secure and you can feed the wrist strap through the hole on the top. I then can just slip the camera in the front pocket of my jeans.
It is unfortunate there is no place to put any extra memory cards or batteries, but that is not the point of this case. It would require extra bulk and negate a compact case. I would have preferred something more like neoprene as the material, but I took what I could get. |

Ugh - too big / thick |
I bought this case thinking it would fit my SD770 well. It's too big! Too bulky to put in a pants pocket.
What's really frustrating is my wife bought a PSC-1000 case a couple years ago and it fits perfectly. Since then they've made the case an extra 1/4" thicker and taller. If you have a SD-1000 or SD-770 this is not the case you want.
