Even better than expected! |
|
I've purchased many Kingston flash drives, and I've only ever had one DOA (though they issued an RMA promptly - good service). It was a 2GB, and I worried about the quality of their higher-capacity drives after that. However, the price on this 8GB was good, so I took the plunge and bought two. I have not been disappointed with either one! In fact, the write speed is about twice what I usually see on my 1GB versions of this drive! Highly recommended, especially to those who don't want to bother with U3 or need ReadyBoost. This drive is a solid performer. |

KINGSTON, ALWAYS THE RIGHT ONE |
|
The Kingston flash drives always work right out of the package no matter what system you use. PC or MAC, I have used many of the 1 GB drives and decided to go to an 8 GB to save having so many smaller drives. Very satisfied with all of them. |

Good Deal |
|
I have owned several different brands of flash drives, some good, some failed within a few weeks. Kingston ALWAYS works, lasts, and is a great value. I am a big fan of all Kingston memory products. |

Carried in pocket for two years and still Going Strong |
|
I work in the schools on computers and this is my main tool. I have carried this in my pocket along with keys, change, etc. for two years and sure it's scuffed up on the outside but still works perfectly. These Kingston don't have all those cute little programs that try to install every time you want to use it like others do. I just need a simple device to carry data and these are the best. I keep an extra one around to sell the teachers when either they don't have one or their Walmart one has come apart. I don't make any profit but the teachers are starting to use usb flash drives more and more and are happy for the convenience. These Kingston drives are absolutely the best that I have seen and I have seen a bunch of them. |

beware MAC users! |
This thing does not work well with macs. It has caused many headaches. If freezes opened files, but you will not know this until you've done your work and you try to save it AHHHH!!! I have two macs and it has the same problem. I tried it to my buddy's brand new mac and it froze the whole thing. It's no problem when you are dragging files in and out manually, the problem is when you open files within it using applications.
If for some reason you do get one (FREE) drag the files into your desktop, use them and them drag them back in manually.
After I plug this thing in the USB port it takes about one to two minutes for the MAC to recognize it.
The only reason I give this thing two stars is because it works better with my windows based HP.
For MAC users I recommend the cruzer by SkanDisk it works perfect on macs. |
