Q&A - Pedometers
Does it matter where the pedometer is placed or attached?
The HJ-150 and 151 Pedometer must be positioned correctly. Attach the unit to your belt or to the top of your waistband. The unit must be horizontal to the ground in order for the unit to function correctly. The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer can also be placed in your pocket or purse.
What's the accuracy rate of Omron Pedometers?
The precision of the step counting is within +/- 5%.
What are moderate steps?
At least 30 minutes of moderate exercise is recommended each day. The HJ-151 Pedometer separately displays the steps and minutes walked at a moderate pace.
What are aerobic steps?
The HJ-112 and HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer separately displays aerobic steps and minutes that start counting after 10 minutes of continuous walking with more than 60 steps a minute.
How does the PC software work?
The HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer includes PC software for Windows 2000 or XP. It keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.

Awesome |
|
I already have the Omron pedometer, but wanted to try this one to keep track of everything on the computer. I love it. Easy to install (I am not very good in the computer department, but had no trouble) and it is amazing how it shows you on the graph. Love it love it, love it. |

Just what I was hoping for |
|
This is very easy to use, the upload feature works great, and from what I can tell it is very accurate at counting steps. This is so much easier than wearing one on my belt, I just put it in one of my front pockets and go. The software looks good so far, but I haven't dug into it very deeply yet. I also have a portable blood pressure tester from Omron, they seem to make good quality products. This pedometer is worth the price. |

My husband and I both have this model and we have found them to be very consistent and accurate. The software that comes with it is a great way to keep track of your daily, weekly and monthly progress. |

Great Product |

I would highly recommend this product. I previously had the Omron HJ-112 (which I highly recommend also) However, after about 6 months of use the HJ-112 quit working. I purchased another brand pedometer and was extremely disappointed. It stopped working after a month or so. So, I decided to go with the Omron HJ-720ITC. I haven't used the computer features yet, the pedometer itself is acurate and easy to use. I sent the HJ-112 back to Omron and after inspecting it they sent me a new one. So I now have two great pedometers, just in case one of them quits working. I will say that customer service at Omron has always been helpful and pleasant. The plastic safety clip, broke two different times on the HJ-112 and it was replaced free of charge without any questions asked. I wear the pedometer 7 days a week all day long, including my 2-3 mile jog every morning. I have found that a pedometer is very motivating to keep me on track of 10,000+ steps a day. |

Simply but extremly useful for my purpose |

All I wanted was a simple Pedometer that can count my steps, so that I will be more motivated to move around. This unit did it. I love the function that I can download the data to excel file easily. Also, the strap saved the unit countless times. I had lost couple of cheaper pedometer within a month and this one is here to stay! |
