The item came in good condition and my son was excited to see it, but the price is really high. All the other car toys are available in Walmart for under 8 dollars and no reason why some one has to spend 25 bucks for one car. I guess non-availability of this one ( and also Mack ) is a reason |

Product Quality is Disappointing |
My son loves all of his CARS cars. We have close to 30! I guess I was lucky to find Chick Hicks early - my son's 5th birthday was the same week the DVD was released and Chick was one of the few available back then. Like other reviewers have stated, the price was around $4 at a local store.
My complaint is with the QUALITY of all of the Mattel 'CARS' cars! Granted, my son is a little rough with them, but I think that would be expected for the target audience of this toy. Chick is especially beat up because of my son pretending the bash the other cars, just like Chick Hicks does in the movie. The paint chips nearly immediately on every new car we get. In addition, one of the side mirrors on the Brand New Mater (blue) broke off. I am disappointed because I expected them to be as durable as the other Mattel and Hot Wheels cars we have.
For enjoyment value, I would highly recommend these cars, my kids play with them every day! Just don't expect a high quality long lasting product. (And be careful if babies are around - make sure no small parts break off the cars!) |
