This is more a merchant review, but since such a thing was not available to me for some strange reason, here it is.
Exactly one week ago, the price up there was 19.99. Gladly, I paid, as well as for 1-day shipping.
So when nothing came, I contacted customer service with such a disappointing response (basically the vendor putting the responsibility for error on Americancivilwar.com) that I had to get in touch with Americancivilwar.
Americancivilwar, or rather a friendly Indian fellow working for a company likely working for Americancivilwar, told me that the item is not actually in stock.
Returning to the item's page, I noticed the price had gone up by 30 dollars, so naturally I assume these people had the wrong price, or maybe the dollar has depreciated 2/3 in value over the course of a week. If either is the case, this is disappointing.
In short, this vendor may try to steamroll you with polite mollification if it ever turns out you caught them with an incorrect price. |

This toy was nice in that we got rid of the gun and played with the tent and other parts of the set. He does not actually play with it as the movie character but rahter as an "explorer dude". |

this set is fun even though the tree and the boat are not in the movie they are still fun.
the tree isn't very strong and the net is hard to keep in the tree the duck/truck is sweet but only one lego guy fits in the front, it should come with the skull and Irina Spalko, but it is still a great set.

Great block selection and Minifigs! |
River Chase is the first Indiana Jones set we purchased. The blocks are a good selection amongst the grey, brown, and green color groups and will be useful for other projects as well.
Durability is always a mixed back with Lego sets. This is no different. The car and raft are very durable. The tree stand is much less so. We've had it for several weeks and the car has been tossed in and out of the Lego bin, stepped on, dropped, and generally treated like you'd expect a 5-year old to treat it. It is still in one piece.
Overall, the set is great. 2 Russian soldiers, Indy (with his trademark whip), and Marion are great minifigs. The croc and snakes just add to the collection. |
