Product Description
Ami (Minase Yashiro in her film debut) is a tough but otherwise average high school girl trying to lead a normal life. Her world comes crashing down when her brother and his friend are killed by ruthless bullies. As Ami tracks down the ringleader she is surprised to discover the bullies' association with a sinister ninja yakuza family. When she goes after her revenge she soon finds herself in over her head and minus her left arm. Barely surviving Ami escapes and seeks out shelter from two kindly garage mechanics. They take pity on her fitting her with a high-powered machine gun where her arm used to be. She then teams up with the chainsaw-wielding mother (Asami) of her brother's slain friend and together they unleash an unholy non-stop over-the-top kill fest against the equally creative machinery (drill bra flying guillotine) of their relentless ninja enemies.System Requirements:Running Time: 96 minutesFormat: DVD MOVIE Genre: ACTION/ADVENTURE/CRIME Rating: NR UPC: 631595073980 Manufacturer No: TSDVD0739

ridiculously stupid movie ever. I am so embarrassed which I dont have to though.....
At first, I got shocked when I saw this movie's trailer, and second I got shocked again because that movie was really stupidly silly.
If you think this is about real japanese culture, you are silly too.
YAKUZA dont use the sword usually and never use "shuriken" which is like , Ninja used to through in the past.
This is one of the completely prejudice, stereo type, misunderstanding movie.
This is not funny at all and I got bored in the middle of the movie so I did not watch whole movie but hey, what is the point of this movie ?
If you wanna waste your time , then watch it.
I dont know why US people tend to like this kind of movie.
We have tons of awesome movies that you maybe accept.
US and foreign people tend to see japan as exotic, traditional asian country but it is completely misunderstanding. YES, Y.E.S, we have traditional culture that is similar with chinese one but it is not the thing what you already know.
Anyway, this was stupid movie ever.

Silly, but so much fun.
Machine Girl (Noboru Iguchi, 2008)

It's been a week since I watched this movie, and still the only word I can come up with to describe it is WHAT. Machine Girl is... something different, that's for sure. A spoof of action/horror movies that's never quite over-the-top enough to tip you off that the director isn't taking it seriously, a camp classic where the acting isn't quite truly bad enough to qualify, a special-effects extravaganza where the special effects are just fake enough to let you know it's not a special-effects extravaganza... you get the idea. If it wanted to be all those things and fell just short, it's as massive a failure of a movie as I've seen in years. If, however, it's supposed to be that way, it's genius.

So anyway, there's not a great deal of plot here. No surprise. Ami (porn actress Asami) is a schoolgirl whose brother is killed by bullies, one of whom is the son of the local Yakuza branch. When she tries to get revenge, she loses her left arm. She teams up with Miki (softcore actress Honoka), the mother of one of Ami's brother's friends who was also killed in the attack, and Miki teaches Ami martial arts while her husband makes Ami a machine-gun arm. And, well, you can guess what happens from there.

Machine Girl is nothing more than stupid fun, and if you go into it with that attitude, you'll have a good time. It's not meant to be deathless cinema (at least, I don't think it is), just a fun time you can use to while away ninety minutes. And in that vein, it's great stuff-- cheesy dialogue, over-the-top painfully fake gore, lots of one-liners. If you're looking for great moviemaking, look elsewhere, but I think most folks would have a lot of fun with this one. ***

Prepared to get blasted out of your seat!
If you like Planet Terror, than you'll love Machine Girl. This one armed, one gatlin gun armed girl will blow you away. It's cheese at its best. A cult classic like Evil Dead. Haven't seen this much blood in a movie since I don't know when. When a girl seeks revenge for the death of her brother, all heck breaks loose. Filled with imaginitive death scenes and more blood than the sea has water, you laugh, cringe and have a great time. Only downside was when the girl loses her arm, they do a terrible time trying to hide it in her recovery scenes.

mmm, tempura
Although she is quite tough and excels in sports such as basketball, Hyuga Ami is a normal high school girl. However, there is one aspect to her that is a bit different than other girls, her parents committed suicide after being accused of murder. With this dark cloud hanging over her head, Ami fights to get by each day with the support of her younger brother Yu. Yet, there is a major problem. Yu, along with his chunky, bespectacled friend Takeshi, are the targets of a vicious gang of school bullies led by Kimura Sho, the son of a powerful yakuza and scion of the Hattori Hanzo clan, the name of a historical samurai and a name that should be familiar to all fans of Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill films. Going beyond the normal bullying and extortion, Kimura and his gang kill Yu and Takeshi. Ami, unable to gain sympathy from anyone, goes on a killing spree herself when she finds her brother's diary which contains a list of the people he would like to kill. After arriving at the home of her first victim, the insanity truly begins.

After Kimura's underling heads off to school, Ami is attacked by the underling's parents, the father attacking her with a double golf club attack and the mother deep frying the poor girl's left arm like it was a big hunk of meat in tempura batter. Ami, however, is able to escape when she throws some boiling water on the dad. That night, Ami returns to the home and kills the mother and Kimura's underling. She then declares that she is a demon bent on Kimura's destruction, however, unfortunately for her, she is caught by Kimura's dad and has her fingers and arm cut off. After managing to escape, she makes her way to the home of Takeshi's parents, two mechanics, who aid her and build her a Gatling gun that attaches to the stump of her left arm. Now, the true action begins.

The Machine Girl is obviously a film that had a limited budget which it tries to make up for by adding enough blood and gore to make fans of 1970s and 1980s splattercore proud, and by adding enough eye candy, the bikini model Yashiro Minase as Ami, the former adult video star Asami as Miki, Takeshi's mom, and nude model Honoka as Kimura Sho's mother, for those who like cheesecake to go with their gore. Although incredibly bloody and gory, The Machine Girl is so over-the-top that the buckets of blood and guts produce laughs instead of cringes. Campy, poorly acted, and bizarre, The Machine Girl makes for a bit of mindless fun on a boring day.
