I had forgotten what a great series Northern Exposure was. Great acting, great character development, quirky and always interesting! My wife and I are truly enjoying this set and it's all the more interesting because we lived in Alaska for three years while this show was on air. |

So good that it's a must see |
I agree with the other reviews who have bemoaned the lack of original music on this show. That music was wonderful, memorable and important. It added immensely to the story and I think the series would be vastly better if it still had it. But it doesn't. That music seems to be lost and long gone.
And I just can't be unhappy with the series because it lacks one thing.
Because even without the original songs?
This is still a wonderful and unique show and worthy of viewing no matter what soundtrack it is set to.
Now, if they ever manage to recreate the original, with all the original music, I'll jump in line and be one of the first to buy it (for a second time). But, as it is, I'm thrilled just to have this series avaiable at all and encourage everyone to check it out. Just know that it's a little less than it was when it was first aired, but that it's still one of the most interesting shows ever on tv. |
