Sleek, accurate, "quiet", won't chop paint |
I've only paintballed a handful of times, but have been in a few games lately where I needed to lay some serious paint. I read good things about the Spyder model, found a decent price and pulled the trigger on this marker. Glad I did. Here are three things that immediately stood out to me about this gun:
-sleek look; this marker's black/gray matte finish added a bit of intimidation before I even fired off a shot.
-"quiet" performance; in multiple games I noticed the gun sounded solidly built. Less moving parts equals not a lot of excess rattle.
-won't chop paint; in 11 forest-ball games played in one day, I never had to clear a broken paintball from my barrel.
Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I'd recommend this gun for novice to intermediate paintballers. For more serious players, a few upgrades to the barrel length or tank size may add advantages. Great out of the box though! |

Can be painful |
|
I purchased two of these, one in red, for my daughter and I to go paint balling on our 10 acres of land in Texas. Works great and the CO2 cylinders that come with them have a respectable usage time. For paint balling it is recommended to adjust the speed below 300 fps. This is easily done, except for some reason even with the adjustment screw turned to full slow the chronometer at the paintball field we use to charge the Co2 cylinders said our guns were still firing at 305 to 311 fps. It may not sound fast, but with only one layer of clothing that velocity leaves an amazing bruise and breaks the skin. Perhaps the cylinders were overcharged, but they kept shooting at that speed for quite a while. Either way a great product and possible less than lethal defense for your home. |
