not so cool |
Well these may hold their cool fine when they are new, but after awhile the lid warps and they no longer seal. A very poor product.

Questionable Value |

I only recently purchased this product for a camping trip which was unfortunately canceled, therefore I cannot comment on performance in actual usage. However, I have doubts. I tried an ice cube test with one full tray and I had water in only a couple of hours. Perhaps it will perform better fully packed with foods and beverages, not sure. I really like the size for my needs, it is relatively compact yet seems to have a large capacity. Still, I wonder about the build quality. I realize this is far from the most expensive I have seen, but then, all the advertising for "marine grade" would make you think it is better than it seems to be. There are two small hinges, which are nothing more than a flap of plastic screwed to the carcass. I wonder what the expected life of this little flap is. Then there is the "strap" that keeps the lid from opening too far, it is just a thin strip of plastic screwed to the top and sides. It is almost comical. Again, I repeat, perhaps it will perform well in real use, I do not have enough experience to speak to this, but I do wonder. |
