Americancivilwar.com Product Description
Sleek, lightweight, and elegant, this slim bicycle computer displays current speed, maximum speed (up to 65 mph), average speed, trip distance, second-trip distance, total distance, elapsed time, and 12/24-hour clock. The dual trip-distance functions keep track of intermediate or multi-day distances. For ease of use even on rough terrain, simply pressing the bottom of the screen toggles through the computer's modes. The selected mode displays at the bottom of the screen, while current speed appears at the top in large, easy-to-read numerals. An up/down arrow compares current speed to average speed. Other features include dual tire size, programmable odometer, pace arrow, automatic start/stop, and automatic power-saving mode. The computer runs on a CR1620 battery (included). Maximum wired transmission distance is 27 inches. The computer's tool-free bracket mounts quickly on virtually any handlebar or stem. The tool-free sensor mounts easily to the fork. Like all Cateye bicycle computers, this one is ultrasonically welded and water-resistant.

Specifications:

  • Handlebar mount size: 22-31.8 mm
  • Fork mount size: 11-55 mm
  • Battery: CR1620 (included)
  • Maximum wired transmission distance: 27" (70 cm)

Customer Reviews for  'Cateye CC-RD100 Strada 8-Function Bicycle Computer'

Great product and good value for the money
It is my 2nd cateye cycling computer. It's inexpensive, durable and easy to use. Been using this for 2 months now for my bike commute to work every day. Worked very well even when it was 25F or when it was soak from thee rain.

I like large display and the no-button design.
What I would have a preferred is to have an average cadence reading.

Basic Functions. Great Computer!!
I was in need of a bicycle computer with these basic functions: Current speed, average speed, trip distance and total traveled distance (odometer).I went to my local bike shop and told the salesman what I needed. He, of course, tried to sell me the most expensive model with some functions that I didn't even know what they were for. In the end, after a hypnotic sale, I ended up convinced that I needed a wireless computer with not only the features mentioned above, but also one that measures altitude, temperature and heart rate.
I bought it, but I decided to make a little more research, returned the Sigma and I bought the Cateye Strada from Americancivilwar.
At first I was surprised by how small it is (about 1.5" x 1.25"), but after installation, I think it's the right size. The installation was very simple, no tools required at all. The menu navigation is not intuitive, and required me to do something that I dread deeply: Read the manual! After all of three minutes reading it, I set the wheel size (following a chart provided in the manual) and I was ready to go.
This computer shows current speed (in mph or kph), average speed, maximum speed, trip time, trip distance, total traveled distance (odometer) and a clock.
Before my daily trip I reset all the values to zero by pressing on the face of the computer for two seconds (the odometer doesn't reset since it keeps the accumulative count of your trips) and I get the counts for my daily workout.
Also, one neat feature is that the odometer is programmable, so you can input your odometer reading when you have to change the battery.
So far, I'm very satisfied with this computer. Very precise, slick, and does a great job. Americancivilwar did a good job with the delivery as well.

Nice evolution of the Cateye line
I've used Cateye bike computers for several years. I like a simple wired computer because the wireless ones use two batteries (more to go wrong) and sometimes pick up false readings from things like power lines or neon signs. The Strada has a nice bracket that can work either on the handlebars or the stem and you can install it without tools. You do have to read through the instructions to figure out the right calibration number for your wheel size but once you have the computer set-up the operation is pretty straight-forward. You toggle through the computer modes with a single button press. So far, the Strada seems weather-proof.

buyer for a gift
It was a gift for my husband . I think he likes it he said no negative feedback.
