I luv it |
I'm a beginning player at about 2 or 3 years of non-dedicated tinkering. Once a month I get a shot of inspiration in the mail box. Thank you banjo newsletter.
Some of the tabs are far beyond me, but that just shows me where I'm going. The are plenty things I can try and the BNL web site has mp3s to help me along. My favorite is "Free Bird". It just makes me laugh.
Then, to take things over the top, there are interviews with various really really good players. These are musician to musician interviews, not journalist to musician. Fantastic stuff. |

The Best Banjo Mag |

The "Banjo Newsletter" has been around for many years and continues to be "the" source for all things banjo. The articles are written in everyday language and are very helpful. All aspects are covered from beginner to advanced players with all styles including frailing, old time, bluegrass, jazz, backup and new age. There is information on current happenings as well as historical information. I know of no other single source of banjo information that is by and for banjo players of all ages and skill levels. It is highly reccommended. |
