If you aren't a golf fan, then read no further, because this game won't appeal to you. However, if the smell of cut grass and the feel of titanium between your fingers gets your heart racing, then pick up Turf Masters for the NEOGEO. Choose from six golfers with different styles of play and shot specialties, and then head for the tees. Game selections include an 18-hole game, a handicap round selected at random, or the crown tournament, in which you'll have to invest the time it takes to play seasoned veterans through two days of preliminaries and finals in three major tournaments. With a pocket link (sold separately), you can also take on a fellow NEOGEO owner. In the "versus" mode, while waiting to tee off, you can use your joystick to whistle, boo, applaud, cheer, set off a horn or buzzer, or blow a trumpet to distract your opponent. Although reading the direction booklet helps, only time and repeated play will allow you to learn the ins and outs of your golfer's unique skills, as well as the properties of your club collection. It also takes time to get acquainted with the feel of each course, from the bunkers to the water hazards to the greens. A great golf game! |

This game is one of the best golf games for any hand held i have ever seen. It has a wide selections of many different clubs and putters. The graphics on this game are very good, it is rich in color and is quite nice to look at. This game provides 3 modes of play and 3 different places to play at. you can play in Japan, the US or in Germany. It also has a function to suspend the game and resume play at a later time. this is a cool game to play when your tired and not in the mood for the other action packed NeoGeo Pocket games. If you are a Golf fan you must pick this game up! its a great any time golf game! |

Pretty good |

I too am not a large fan of golf games but I must compliment this one as it does prove itself to be adequete BUT it lacks longevity with me. I'll play for about twenty minutes then switch to SNK vs Capcom:MOTM. but it's still good. |

Oh my gosh! |

I'm not a golf fan, but i decided to but this anyway. it is so cool!! i don't know alot about gold, but it doesn't matter. you can versus, which is very cool. You can also move the joystick to shout, boo, blow a horn, and other stuff to distract an apponent. this is a great game for short spurts of play. Don't hesitate, but this while it's on sale!! |

Tough Turf To Master |

After I popped this game into my NGPC I found I couldn't stop playing. The three available courses are fun and some holes are really challenging. The game is very easy if you use the hidden set of clubs (you get them after winning the triple crown) so I would recommend sticking with the standard clubs for fun and challenge. With the hidden clubs you don't have to read the greens at all and that's not as fun but they do allow you to score eagles which are a practical impossibility with the standard clubs. If you want to have hours of fun buy this game! |

I found turf masters to be very entertaining if you like golf. the controls are easy, the graphics are nice, and you'll probably find yourself playing it for hours. It has several levels of difficulty from easy to very hard. It also keeps records of all your players stats. My only complaint is the number of courses, although three courses are satisfying I would like to have seen more. This game is a must have for the golfer in you. |
