Norton is the BEST! |
I have used other anti-virus in the past and they all gave me trouble/headaches. Once, I started using Norton all my issues went away. In addition, the ease of using their software couldn't be better. I wouldn't trade it for anything when it comes to protecting my computer.
If anyone isn't very computer savvy they make it easy for you.

Best known but not best for use |

I bought this based on the widespread brand awareness and assumption that the well-known brand meant it was a good product. The user menus lack intuitiveness and it's hard to guess how to change settings, etc. Additionally, it slowed down my PC significantly. |

They want you to pay $99 more to remove a virus |
|
I have been buying norton for many years and had no problems. However, a month ago it did not catch a virus. I kept running scans and they all came back good. I called the customer service number. No one could speak english. It almost sounded like a recording. They acted like they were going to fix the problem. Then the rep gave me a different number to call. I called this number and they wanted $99 more to get the virus off my computer. I told them I already paid for the software, and I thought the purpose of having it to take care of viruses. The kept repeating the same thing over and over....hmmm... and wanted $99. I told them no I don't have $99 for you....then..... 20 minutes later...they call me back asking again for $99. I will never purchase this product again. |

Had the latest Norton professionally installed by our commercial computer service with extra care to erase all remnants of its predecessor. No problems have emerged after one month of activity. |
