Good for one thing |
|
It's cheap database software that I like to use for making custom comparison charts when doing my own product research. With free OpenOffice and inexpensive Office Home and Student Edition, there's no reason to use any of the other features. It's a credit to OpenOffice that Office Home and Student exists at all. |

I received this product with no micro soft code, due to illness I was unable to attempt load it into my computer for aprox. a month. I don't think I will order from Americancivilwar again. Ripped off again by mail order. Pat Kennedy |

Worth the Money |

I'm a stay at home mom who does the paperwork and pays the bills and I find this fine for home use. I also own Office 03 and its wonderful but 9 times out of 10 I'm opening works instead. I love the calendar and the way it incorporates your contacts. The dictionary is an A+ I do agree with a viewer about the formats it uses but you can save in .doc format you just have to do a "save as" when you close your docs. Its nowhere near Office but for 40.00 it does the job... If your looking for hi tech and super bells and whistles go Office but keep in mind the price difference... If you are a beginner to office suites or just type the occasional letter then Works will be fine for you. |

I am a Third Grade teacher, and I love the Microsoft Works templates, and calendar. Recently I also published a class book with Student Treasures, and the cells were excellent to create science biweely measurement of native Hawaiian plants that improve the oxygen in the water of an anchialine pond and make the muck go down. What makes this product 5 stars, is that once you create the table, you can pick bar graph and /or line graph, edit within the table to revise info and produce high quality information in a varity of formats. You are also able to add to lables and mark specific necessary info, once again edit revise as necessary. Many more templates still to be discovered in the near future... |
