Best GPS Software |
It is much better than TomTom or Garmin products which costs a lot.
I have TomTom but I use iGuidance as it is very accurate and quick. It also tells you if the destination is on the right or left(very useful).
Voice prompts are also good.
By far ...Much better than tomtom and garmin which usually keeps you guessing.
IGuidance is the best software I have seen so far. |

The Best Pocket PC GPS |
IGuidance 4.0 is probably the Best Pocket PC GPS Mapping system around. Couple this with Globosat BT 359 GPS receiver. It works like a Charm. I use it on My XV6700 Verizon Wireless. Take my word.
It does much better than the Garmins and the Tom Toms. All this for a fraction of the price. |

Support Sux |

OK I upgraded to INAV 4 from INAV3 no biggie and I'm not sure why I even wanted V4. But it has opened my eyes to an extremely unfriendly support services. With this product you MUST activate the software. Through various methods you have 2 and only 2 keys. You can move the keys between PC and all is well... However if you have 2 hard drive failures within a week (Laptop & Desktop) hit by lightning. You have lost both activation keys. Calling support they did bend and made a 3rd key available. Points for them on that. Now as most users would do knowing now how the activation works.. I tried moving, deactivating the key around. I was using a USB thumb drive. I also have a USB hard drive so I tried the manual move with the hard drive. Unloading the key worked fine. But when I tried to move to a second PC it failed to recognise any key on my USB hard drive. So now I am stuck... I contacted INAV support and was told I shouldnt be trying to "hack" their code.. Total jerks accusing me of illeagle actions!!! Then I was told that a USB thumb drive is the only "supported" method of moving the key and that nowhere in the activation manual does it say I could use a USB hard drive. What the HELL is the difference a USB drive hard or digital should work... WRONG!! Then they say I have to just buy another INAV V4. Screw them I'm buying OCN6 from On Course!! They have lost a customer and anyone who will listen to me AVOID INAV!!!!!!!!!!! |

Nice product but still needs some improvement. |
I was using an earlier version of iGuidance (included in IOGear Bluetooth GPS package) and I liked it. This new iGuidance 4 has some positive improvements over earlier versions, mostly in user interfaces, like bigger semi-transparent buttons, all-in-view speed, distance to destination and ETA data. I also like the new map copying feature. 2GB SD is so cheap right now, worth the extra convenience. However, it still has some problems:
1. The most serious bug is in routing, with missed turns. The route it calculates sometime "welds" different roads together and never prompts that I should get off one road and get onto another. I drove through the turning point only to find out I was off the route and needed recalculation. Image that on a toll road with exits 10 miles apart (such as masspike I-90)
2. The TTS road announcement is not clear enough for a non-native English speaker like me.
3. The software sometime just freezes or shuts off abruptly. May be related to memory usage. But my Axim 50v has 64MB RAM should be on par with other PDAs, which only means iGuidance should be more careful about the memory usage.
4. Route recalculation is slower than earlier versions, which were almost instantaneous. This may be related to the 1.3 GB map data. But again, it should be optimized to handle the big map.
5. POI categorizing is useful, but there should be an option to search through all POIs by their names. Because sometimes it's tricky to know which category to look |
