Curious people want to know: is dashing millionaire Rory Kincaid about to resign his position as the "sexiest man in town"? If Rory decides to step down as the most eligible bachelor in America, millions of women will be left crying on his way to the altar... Rory Kincaid has everyone talking...and the women swooning. After a lifetime of living down his family's scandalous past, the handsome public figure decides to take up the mantle of respectability. But first he must survive the scandal caused by a curvy siren named Jilly Skye. With her snug, vintage clothes and free-spirited ways, Jilly can't quite discover why Rory makes her feel so....tingly. Though he's far from an antique, no one that tempting should appear so stodgy. When the two are caught on film in a distinctly compromising position, Jilly agrees to pose as his fiancee -- at least until his reputation gets back in order. But neither of them counted on love... |

Uptight Male meets Victorian Underwear Women - and sparks fly |
`The Perfect Kiss' by Christie Rodgway is the story of Rory and Jilly and secondary story of Kim and Greg. Rory and Grey are the infamous Kincaid brothers who come from the pure Hollywood scandalous family. Rory plans to announce his adamancy for Senator when he returns home to settle the estate of his lecherous grandfather. Jilly owns a Vintage clothing store and agrees to sort through all his historian clothing and finds herself pretending his to be fiancé with special privileges. Grey and Kim fell in love when Kim was married to Greg's grandfather. Kim (Jilly's partner in Vintage clothing store) and Greg have not seen each other in over four years and sparks fly. I read this book in a day and enjoyed every moment. This author brings you humor, great love scenes and pure Hollywood weirdness.

An enjoyable quick read |
Although it doesn't have a lot of depth or substance, the humorously written story is perfect for fun escapist reading. The colorful description of the vintage clothing and Jilly's free-spirited attitude were refreshing, and there was a heartwarming child-custody situation amongst the secondary characters.

Disappointed |
|
Wish you were here was SUCH a great book, I quickly purchased another from this author. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I just didn't enjoy this one at all. I didn't really feel involved with the characters and I found myself just wanting to end the book so I could read something else. I really wanted to like it, but.... it just didn't happen. |

Not worth it. |
|
Boring and banal are the words to describe this third-rate romantic "Comedy". The characters are unconvincing and one-dimensional; Jilly the heroine is a 25(or 26?) year-old virgin, who still believes that stopping at a certain level of arousal will hurt a guy. Laughable. Rory the hero is a typical macho fool with breast issues and almost no redeeming qualities. Iris, the little girl, bears no resemblance to any four-year-old girl I know. She is behaves more like a belligerent teenager with a very limited vocabulary. The other two major characters are too excruciatingly dull to mention. If you want a really good light read with a sophisticated sense of humour and plenty of extra-curricular activity, try Marion Keyes' book, "Watermelon". |

A perfect read! |
|
THIS PERFECT KISS is a perfect read for those who love witty, wonderful romance. The characters are quirky, charismatic, and just plain fun, and the situtations they find themselves in are equally fun. Further, there's a wonderful secondary plot entailing the hero's 4-year-old aunt that simply warms the heart. THIS PERFECT KISS really is a book not to be missed--a perfect Valentine's Day treat as yummy as chocolate, but not nearly as fattening! |
