Good Story |
|
I thought this book was a great continuance in telling each of the main characters stories. This time it was Tasha(Roz) and Trae's turn, and Angel and Kays. I liked the fact that it was a smooth read, not to drama or action filled but it hit it's mark at the right times, if your looking for some super drama/action then this will probably start slow for you. But I liked how Wahida took her time with Trae and Tasha telling their story, little things happened here and there and like most sequels or trilogies, the real action happens towards the end to lead to the next book. And for the poster who asked why Tasha(Roz) had two names, Tasha is her middle name and only Trae calls her that sort of like a pet name but her real name. Anyway, this was a really good read I liked the fact that she had them all trying to go on the right track, the story does hit home with the conflict they all faced with street life vs regular life not in the streets. I liked also how she didn't go into detail about the street life stuff all you knew was what the guys did, not how and all of that it focused more on the characters personal story with each other, their relationship. I loved Trae and Kaylin, I'm not really a fan of Street lit because most of it is repetitious and tells the same 'we or our men sell drugs and we dress in fancy clothes story' I like how she is slowly trying to turn it away from that, and how she followed it up in Thug Matrimony. Overall, this was a great read. |

Wasnt the worst I have read, but it took me awhile to read through it..... |

The story was ok.....typical gangsta story where you know that something is gonna go wrong.....cant have it all, huh? It took me awhile to read the story. Usually, if I am really feeling a book, I will read it in 1-2 days, but this story went on for a bit too long. Looking forward to Thug matrimony though. I only want to know if Trae survives. |

Once again I think people are putting too much into this book! It was not the best book for me...It took me too long to read the book for one and then for two it seems like everything is happening over and over again. I also thought that I was going to get some questions answered from the first book but I didn't! So I will have to think long and hard if I want to read the third book...Sorry Wahida, it didn't work for me this time. |

Excellent summer read |
|
Once you read Thugs and The Women That Love Them you must know what happens next. This book was great! Some of the scenes get a little boring, especially if you have read Zane books, but its still good. |
