Product Description
Alexandria, Renee and Danielle are three very different women with one thing in common: their late husband!

Even a woman blessed with a genius IQ can make a dumb mistake, and for Renee Foster, marrying Marc was exactly that. Although she's eager to forget her past, first Renee needs Marc's brother, FBI agent Chris Foster, to help her locate a missing necklace. It seems like a simple plan, yet Renee soon realizes that nothing about Chris is simple. Unlike other men, he's not intimidated by her intelligence, and he sees past her aloof manner to the home-loving, passionate person she truly is. But Chris refuses to settle down—and Renee won't settle for less than she needs, even if that means walking away from the perfect man.…

The Perfect Romance!
I haven't read much by Carla Fredd, but nevertheless, I looked forward to the second edition of the Three Mrs. Fosters mini-series. I know the first book of the series, "This Time for Good" received mixed reviews, but if you're wondering if you should pick up the second installment of this series then the answer is a resounding YES! Carla Fredd did an excellent job developing Renee and Chris's story.

I was curious about Renee's story when she was introduced in "This Time for Good" and let me say that Ms. Fredd does not disappoint! Renee was originally introduced as the intelligent, extremely conservative, yet caring mediator when the wives first found out of their husband's deception. In that story we began to see a little of Chris's attentiveness to her as she dealt with the initial shock of her ex-husband's betrayal.

This story brings it full circle. We learn that both Renee and Chris have had lonely childhoods filled with pain and disappointment. We also learn that shy and conservative Renee has an inner strength and cleverness that Chris finds absolutely intriguing. Chris is a sexy, sweet, and protective hero that shows Renee how special she is and gives her the confidence to be herself.

As they struggle to put together the pieces surrounding her aunt's missing necklace the chemistry sizzles and the love they find with eachother becomes undeniable. This is such a special romance that's relatable, realistic, and heartwarming. There's even a little action, along with humor and some sizzling love scenes that will make you smile and wish you had a Chris of your own. Buy this book and you will not put it down until you've finished reading it!

The Man for Her - 4.5
This was my first book by Carla Fredd and I enjoyed it. In this one we meet the 2nd Mrs. Foster and the one is legally married to Marc. Carla has a situation and enlists the help of her dead husband brother Chris who is the exact opposite of Marc. Renee has issues with getting close to people due to her relationship with her parents. She also thinks that no man will truly love her and that's why she settled with Marc (a relatable issue for women I think). But she still develops feeling for Chris. Chris too has getting close issues as well. But they help each other through their issues without even knowing it. This was a good continuation of the series.

Definitely Better
All I can say is I agree with the other reviewers and I'm glad I didn't give up on this series. After what IMO was a disappointing first installment, I was hesitant about reading the second installment. And also having never read anything by Ms. Carla Fredd, I was worried I would only be further disappointed. But I can honestly say, I was PLEASANTLY surprised! I found myself CAUGHT UP in the drama and romance surrounding Chris Foster and Renee Mitchell Foster. The main characters, as well as secondary were DEFINITELY better developed and actually had some MEMORABLE personalities. I thought the storyline and dialogue more believable and ENGAGING. And the chemistry between Chris and Renee was sweet, yet still very sensual. I enjoyed the way Chris was able to see the REAL Renee, despite the act she put on for everyone in her life. I was able to bond with this couple and I found myself hoping they'd have a "happily-ever-after". Well done, Ms. Fredd!

Much Better
This book is a much better introduction to the Foster serious. The character development is much more believable. The previous book laid the foundation for the sparks that erupt between Renee and Chris. Ms. Fredd is a good writer. If you would like to find out read If Only You Knew. You will get a better impression of how good of a romance novelist Ms. Fredd really is.

Better follow up to the first book
This book was so much better than the first book in the series (The Three Mrs.Fosters). The author did a much better job of making the characters believable. The chemistry between Renee and Chris was evident and made me keep reading. While I was cheering for the them, I craved more character development. The story line was not as strong as it could be and kept this book from rating higher in my view. It was a good read but not great.
