Sexy, dangerous, unforgettable. . .the Madaris family and their unlikely band of friends captured readers' hearts and souls. Now, in The Midnight Hour, bestselling author Brenda Jackson brings us another breathtaking novel featuring the Madaris family and friends.
One, CIA agent Sir Drake Warren gave his heart to a woman---a fellow Marine whose death in an explosion left him aching for justice. Drake vowed he would never love again. But his devotion to his former lover is tested when he meets his mysterious new partner, Agent Victoria Green. With golden-brown eyes and skin like melted chocolate, Victoria leaves Drake yearning for the love he lost---and flirting closely with the white-hot passion he once knew, he's sure he'll get burned. . .
Few people know that Victoria was once a Marine named Sandy Carroll. . .and that she was embroiled in a fervent love affair with Drake until an explosion nearly killed her. Her life-saving surgery gave her a new face and identity---that of CIA operative Victoria Green. Now, Victoria is bound by duty to keep her true identity a secret, especially from Drake.
Paired on a deadly mission, Victoria's senses are awakened by Drake's every move. But just as the passion she's denied for so long threatens to boil over, Drake begins to put together the pieces of the puzzle. And when he does, will Victoria lose him forever?

I LOVED IT! |
|
I thought that this book was just as great as the others. She combined a true love story with an action story. I loved the fact that Tori/Sandy was a very strong female character and Drake was tough but not with her. All in all I loved it and I look forward to Brenda's other books. |

INTRIGUING AND ROMANTIC STORY |
|
This is another good story by Brenda Jackson. Sir Drake's story is well written and as intense as Sir Drake. It is an easy read and you can't wait for Tori to reveal her story. I thoroughly enjoyed it so much so that I have reread it at least twice. It fits in with all the other stories. It strengthens your faith in love and fate. |

It was alright, not the best Brenda Jackson book |
|
This one, I can honestly say this isn't my favorite BJ novel. I just didn't like the story line too much. It just seems unbelievable to me. I didn't like how she finally told Drake who she really was, his reaction was too unreal. I don't know, it was good but not that great. I still love Brenda though, I haven't given up on her at all. |

Over the top plot line but i stil loved it |
|
Great story, yes the plot premise is very over the top - burn victims do leave scars but this lady is still an incredible knock out physcial beauty, I would to mee her cosmetic surgeon! God forbid a black romance heroine been a down to earth looking attractive woman lol (btw is there a rule that says black women must not have short. medium black hair, always long brown and wavy or straight?). Anyway apart from this and other forget reality plot lines this is still a good read. I have read most of the Madaris saga all in the wrong order , Fire and Desire is still my favourite, in fact I find the friends more interesting than the Madaris family apart from Uncle Jake. |
