Well, after SWS and WWE, I vowed to never buy another EJD book again. I could tell from these books that his writing style was changing. He was starting to write longer and more descriptive sex scenes...sex scenes that were not necessary, nor did they enhance the story lines. When I saw Pleasure in Walmart I passed by, but went back b/c I have ALL of EJD's books! If I had known it was erotica I would have left it on the shelf. I wonder if he saw the success of Zane and thought he'd get in on the frenzy. Eric is such a talented writer and lately he has been wasting his talent on this crap! I will not be buying another EJD book! Promise! |

Eric, Gone Erotica!!!! |
|
If you have read the other reviews you have the story line. Eric gives us a different look into his writing style. This book was so Hot, I literally had to set it down a couple of times, because I was so turned on. It's amazing the way this man can go into the minds of his character and pull out there innermost thoughts. This book leaves no details un-turn. This is erotica to the max. Definitely a HOT SUMMER SIZZLING READ!!! |

Excellent, as usual |

I adore Dickey's books, and this one is not an exception. Easy to read, so passionate, crazy, love-and-hate, hot, steaming - all in one. |

Beyond Boring |
|
I have read every single one of EJD books and consider myself a loyal fan. However, this book was a HUGE disappointment. There was no plot. There was no point. There was definitely no pleasure. The characters had no depth and nothing they said or did was interesting. I couldn't return it to the library fast enough. |

"Pleasure" not a pleasure.... |
|
EJD has drifted so far from the gifted writer that once wrote about characters that left you longing for more like in "Friends and Lovers" and "Milk in my Coffee". I stopped reading when Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" ringtone was mentioned in the book. I consider myself very open-minded, but I had enough of the sexual theme in the book. I stopped before I had to read another, "I moaned". The absent of a plot made it very hard to stay in engaged. The best thing about reading this book: not buying it; I got it from the local library. Now I know why it was available without a wait--it's not worth the wait. |
