Product Description |
In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There exists a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing more than Wrath, the leader of The Black Dagger Brotherhood.
The only purebred vampire left on earth, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But, when one of his most trusted fighters is killed-leaving his half-breed daughter unaware of his existence or her fate-Wrath must usher her into the world of the undead-a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams. |

Simply Delicious!! |

If anyone is looking for a book that will propel them into a dark and dangerous unknown world, full of wonderful and distinct characters, an alpha male lead to die for, creative story and rich romance that will have you panting and then crying and then panting again, well...this is your book. I was immediatley sucked in and could not put the book down. The characters jump out at you on each page, forcing you to notice them, and I was never disappointed with their performance. Wonderful romantic drama with erotica that will take your breath away and beg for more. This one is a definite keeper! |

Romantic Thriller |
|
This is the first book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood. The story intoduces many of the main characters and sets the dark tone for the other novels. Although there is some explanatory backstory, the storyline moves along really well and the characters are fascinating. Although it may take a little suspending reality for some, the world Ward paints seems pretty vivid to me as a reader. I was fascinated by the characters, their struggles and had to go out and buy the series afterward. Ward writes really high-caliber romantic suspense and throws in modern relatable elements too. Great series! |

Much better than I expected! |
|
As a fan of Laurell K Hamilton's "Anita Blake" novels, I was looking for something to read while awating her next novel. I came across this and on a whim, threw it in my "cart", thinking it'd be another "knock off" type. I'm glad I did! This story had me so engrossed, that I missed a few meals and many hours of sleep. I simply could not put it down. |

You will fall in love with the characters |
I randomly started reading this series after stumbling across it several times here on Americancivilwar.
I really liked Dark Lover. It was a very enjoyable read. There were some cliche moments towards the end, and I wasn't particularly interested in the Mr X storyline, but as a whole it was very entertaining.
The best thing about it was the characters. You will just fall in love with them. They each have flaws, but somehow this just seems to add to their appeal.
Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
