Editorial Reviews for  'Kiss of Crimson (The Midnight Breed, Book 2)'

Product Description
He comes to her more dead than alive, a towering black-clad stranger riddled with bullets and rapidly losing blood. As she struggles to save him, veterinarian Tess Culver is unaware that the man calling himself Dante is no man at all, but one of the Breed, vampire warriors engaged in a desperate battle. In a single erotically charged moment Tess is plunged into his world—a shifting, shadowed place where bands of Rogue vampires stalk the night, cutting a swath of terror.

Haunted by visions of a dark future, Dante lives and fights like there is no tomorrow. Tess is a complication he does not need—but now, with his brethren under attack, he must shield Tess from a growing threat that includes Dante himself. For with one reckless, irresistible kiss, she has become an inextricable part of his underworld realm…and his touch awakens her to hidden gifts, desires, and hungers she never knew she possessed. Bonded by blood, Dante and Tess must work together to thwart deadly enemies, even as they discover a passion that transcends the boundaries of life itself….

VAMPIRE ROMANCE
The series continues with Dante and Tess Culver. Very good second book and makes you want the next!!

Very good book
The second book in the Breed series it's as interesting as the first.
After being wounded fighting, Dante ends in Tess Culver's veterinary clinic. He urgently needs blood, so he decides to drink from the pretty doctor, but when he does it, he realizes she's a Breedmate. This distresses him, and although he erases her memory regarding their meeting, Dante couldn't leave her alone. He's drawn to Tess, and she also appears in one of his visions of the future. To complicate this more, it seems her ex-boyfriend is involved in the business of Crimson, a drug that induces Bloodlust in a Breed and can lead him to be Rogue.

It's a story filled with action and a good love story.
I liked a lot the two lead characters. Dante is a complex guy, tortured by his dark visions of the future, his yearning for Tess, the problem the Crimson is causing in the Breed population. Tess, same as Gabrielle, is a strong woman who complements Dante perfectly. Thank you Ms. Adrian, for having strong female characters who are important in such a masculine atmosphere as the Breeds'.
Regarding the secondary characters, there's a very interesting new one, Sterling Chase. I hope he'll be in the next books, because I really liked him.
The next instalment is Tegan and Elise's story, a very promising book after what happens in Kiss of Crimson :)

was not impressed
Having loved all of J.R. Wards BDB books, I thought I would give these a try. They just don't compare. Nobody writes about angst ridden heroes like Ms. Ward. This just seemed like the author was jumping on the vampire band wagon. Her heroes were all weak imitations of J.R. Ward's. They didn't touch me at all. Maybe if I had read these before I read J.R. Ward, I would have liked them. I will just wait for J.R. Ward to give me my next vampire fix in June.

Red Hot Romances
I recommend this book and the others of this author because I like romances. What more can I say? Obviously, I didn't put this on my Kindle reader for its historic value, or because it may be a classic one day. I travel quite a bit and it was a v-e-r-y entertaining read. If you are looking to improve your mind, etc., don't buy it; if you are looking to raise your blood pressure just a bit, GET IT! CeeCee

As good and dark than the first one
I'm not going to make a resume of the plot, as there are other reviews in here that talk about it, and aslo you have Americancivilwar's book description, so I'm going to tell you because I like this book. I like this book because, as well as the previous one, it's a dak book. The vampires have a beatly side, and they don't turn out into meeklings when they fall in love. They are still strong individuals, with their "darkness" still in them. And the females are also strong individuals, with interesting lives and that doesn't like to be thrown around. I really loved this book as i did with the previous one. I really recomend it ;-)
