Product Description |

Maddie is determined to uncover the untold story about the town's sordid past—her past. As a child, Maddie lost everything, and now she's back at the scene of the scandal—a local establishment that's always belonged to the Hennessys—determined to uncover the truth, and nothing is going to stand in her way. Especially not a black-haired, blue-eyed Hennessy. Everyone in Truly knows that the Hennessy men are irresistible, and the current owner, Mick, is no exception. His late father was a skirt-chasing heartbreaker who ended up causing disaster for two families. So far, Mick's managed to keep the ladies in line, but when he claps eyes on Maddie, with her luscious curves and tempting lips, he can't resist getting tangled up with her. But Maddie is keeping secrets, not the least of which is her true reason for being in town. And when Mick discovers whats really going on, there is going to be a whole lot of trouble in Truly. |

So MUCH Fun! |
I LOVED this book. Sooo much fun! I liked the depth of the character "Maddie" much more than "Clare" in the book "I'm in no mood for love". I haven't read any of Rachel Gibson's other books but throughly enjoyed this one and couldn't put it down. I read a LOT of romance novels (usually all historicals/Regency period) and this one made me laugh out loud - which is rare for me as some make no sense or are just plain dumb, as I'm sure many of you have noticed. The story line, the humor, the love interest "Mick" all make for a very enjoyable read.
P.S. To Rachel Gibson - Chevy didn't make a Maverick - Ford did. |

Well written and entertaining |
|
This is one of my favorites by Rachel Gibson. The story line is good, well written and entertaining. There are lots of familiar characters fromother books that get honorable mention or more. This gives the reader a chance to see what happened after the "happily ever after" of the book about those characters. I highly suggest this book, especially if you like her others. |

Gotta Love Rachel Gibson |
|
I always enjoy Rachel Gibson's books and this third entry in the "Boise Writers" series is no exception. The main characters have a lot of chemistry and the plot is engaging. Love Maddie's quirky and cynical personality. The "secondary" characters were a little flat though - didn't find any of them particulary interesting or well developed; more like "filler". On the whole a fun, fast read. |

Super sexy |
|
I personally really enjoyed this book. Mick Hennessy was just Hot and I loved the comical banter between the two. I will definitely read the rest of this series. Thanks again Rachel |

Pleasant, thoughtful book. A few good lines. OK characters. Nice ending. |
This would be ok to get from the library, but I wouldn't buy it. A writer, Maddie, moves back to her hometown to research how her mother Alice was killed when Maddie was 5 years old. Alice was a single mom, having an affair with Loch who was married to Rose. Rose shot Loch, Alice and herself. Mick is Loch's son. Mick and Maddie are attracted to each other. Mick does not know who Maddie is since she is using her pen name.
Sexual language: strong. Number of sex scenes: six. Setting: current day Truly, Idaho. Copyright: 2007. Genre: contemporary romance with some mystery. |
