This book contains reprints of three stories which were first published in the 1990s.
5 stars for WHITE OUT.
Loved it. Nice plot twists. Some suspense. Intriguing sex scenes. Hope runs a lake resort in Idaho. During a blizzard, a nearly frozen man knocks on her door and collapses. She drags him inside, removes his frozen clothes and gets inside a blanket with him to give him her body heat.
CAUTION SPOILERS:
After awhile, with his body warmed up, the first sex scene occurs. He was half awake and half asleep and probably didn't know what he was doing. It was unexpected and very sensual. He tells her he is a lawman, but she starts having doubts when she hears that a dangerous escaped convict is in the area.

4 stars for BLUE MOON.
My feeling at the end was awwww, that's lovely. I loved Jackson's passion. The story had wonderful sensuality. Lilah lives on the river with no electricity. Because Lilah sees auras, local people go to her when they are sick. She tells them to see a doctor when needed, or she sells them her medical herbs and poultices. That is how she makes a living. One local man is afraid of her and plans to shoot her. The sheriff, Jackson, is notified and heads out to stop the man. Jackson ends up being stranded at her place during a storm which is how they meet and fall for each other.
Sexual language: moderate. Number of sex scenes: three. Setting: current day small south Alabama county. Copyright: 1999. Genre: contemporary romance with a little suspense.
2 stars for LAKE OF DREAMS.
Just ok. Thea has been having erotic dreams about Richard, but she doesn't know his name. She goes to a lake cottage for a few weeks to get some rest and hopefully stop the dreams. When she arrives, she meets Richard who is renting the cottage next door. He has been having the same dreams about her. They have known each other in past lives. I did not like the lack of normal communication on Richard's part. He knew more about their past lives and reasons for being together than Thea did. When she asked him if he killed her in the past, he said yes, but he didn't explain the circumstances. If he would have explained the past and been more open with her, there would have been no major conflict. I also did not care to read about Thea being weak, helpless, frightened, and hysterical. Sometimes weak characters are ok, but this time it didn't work for me.

A Perfectly Sexy Collection |

I had already read one of the novellas, "Lake of Dreams" in another collection, but I was really excited to find this one. All three stories have their charms, and are perfectly sexy (there's definitely something exciting about "stranded with a hot stranger" stories). There's not a dud in the bunch, and I often find myself going back to this book to revisit one of the three little romps. The collection is great as a beach or weekend read, with nice little chunks to enjoy. A must have for true LH fans. |

Classic Linda Howard |
I'm a huge Linda Howard fan. If her name is on the book, anywhere, I buy the book!
This is Classic Linda Howard, some of her better work.
I have already read these three stories, own them in other anthologies, and I have the older hardcover edition on the shelf...but I'm about to buy this one, anyway, just to have these three favorites in a fresh copy and save the wear and tear on my hardcover.
The characters are entertaining, funny, passionate. The paranormail elements in Lake Of Dreams and Blue Moon are a treat. And the heroes are HOT!
Love Linda, lover her books, can't wait for the now onw to come out July 1st!

Three terrific novellas |

I was glad that these stories were available through reprints; else I would have had to buy 3 books separately (if I could find them). I have always enjoyed Linda Howard's books and I don't mind reading older books that are being reprinted. This seems to be the trend in publishing world today. These stories; Lake of Dreams White Out and Blue Moon are what I consider some her best stories. The first story, Lake of Dreams, was a bit different and White Out was my favorite of the three. Overall, I enjoyed all of the stories. |

The hardback cover is what drew my eye to this book. I have never heard of the author before, and read the inside cover. I thought O.K. i'll give it a look and as I sat down to read the first story I was just amazed at the story that started to unfold right before me. I felt like I was right there. I could feel my body start to twitch and get warm all over as I read on. It was not graphic but deffinatly enough to not leave anything to the imagination. I was in LOVE. I was in love with the characters. The book puts you right there in the middle of everything and keeps you going to the end of the story. I love my erotic books and this is deffinatly one that is added to my list and I will be able to read on and on and on. and never get bored. I recommend this book for those that love erotic,romatic story lines with a little mystery. read this book you will not regret it. |
