If you have heard of Zen, Vipassana, Mindfulness, or Gospels of John and Thomas, you will really appreciate Eckhart Tolle's, The Power of Now. Tolle promotes living in the Now and his book in its question and answer format seeks to explain how. The Power of Now is not a religion, but a spiritual practice which is `hidden' in the major religions. Eckhart points out where the practice can be found in the Bible and in Buddha's teachings. For some, this book provides the `link' between the Christ and the Buddha.
For those looking for a simple practice, he has several methods which shows immediate results. Great book for those who are seeking. |
